Some three million people in Britain work on or near vehicles as part of their job. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) estimate that the economic cost of falls from vehicles was over £36m in 2004/05 with many avoidable deaths and serious injuries. The Work at Height Regulations 2005 apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury. Employers and the self–employed must do all that is reasonably practicable to prevent anyone falling, one of the main principles of which is to avoid working at height. For more information from the HSE on your responsibilities under the regulations go to:
The Easy Load Roof Rack, which is loaded at ground level, is a low cost, simple to implement system which removes the risk of a fall from a van roof. Protect yourself and your workforce now. | ||
